Glass Sedgewick Rafter Chamber: The cell holds 100 cubic millimetres of liquid 1 millimetre deep over an area of 50 x 20 millimeters.

The glass base is clear with no grid lines. A cover glass traps liquid to the correct depth. By observing the liquid through a low magnification microscope, objects can be identified and counted.
