Description

this item is now sold!

A beautifully detailed French pendant lantern featuring a cut and frosted glass body held within an ornate gilt bronze framework. The glass is finely decorated with diamond cutting and delicate etched foliate motifs, creating a soft, diffused glow when lit.

The gilt brass mount is richly worked, with scrolling arms, floral detailing, and a laurel-style garland encircling the body — all typical of early 20th-century French decorative lighting. The contrast between the crisp glass cutting and the warm gilt metal gives this piece a real sense of depth and elegance.

A refined but characterful pendant that works just as well in an entrance hall or passage as it does over a stairwell or in a smaller room where you want something special without overwhelming the space.

Condition:
Very good antique condition. The glass is excellent with no visible cracks or chips. The gilt brass shows light, age-appropriate wear and patina, consistent with age.

Dimensions: 450h x 200

This lantern will be supplied with 1m of chain, a ceiling rose, and Non LED E14 screw in bulbs
